Amigos De Los Animales -- technically the Mazatlan Humane Society, A.C. -- is a wonderful animal rescue organization devoted to improving the health and welfare of Mazatlan street animals.Founded in the 1990's, Amigos De Los Animales has grown to be much more than simply a place where people can go to adopt abandoned and unwanted cats and dogs, and is now the largest Mazatlan animal welfare organization actively promoting public education about humanely addressing the issues related to our street animal population.
Amigos De Los Animales is a non-profit organization that is supported by donations, adoptions and fundraisers.
The Amigos De Los Animales offices and shelter are open from 11am - 2pm and 4pm - 7pm Monday through Friday, 11am - 2pm on Saturday.

La Jungla small animal hospital has been providing excellent pet care in Mazatlan since 1978. Headed by small animal specialist Rafael Aguilar de Santiago, D.V.M., La Jungla veterinarians in Mazatlan can do x-rays, orthopedics, endoscopy, vaccines and ultrasonic dental work.
La Jungla has two locations: the main animal hospital located downtown and their grooming facility at Avenida Camarón Sábalo 310, just 1/2 block from Panama restaurant in the heart of the Golden Zone. All standard pet grooming services are offered, and pet food and supplies are also available.
English is spoken, and La Jungla Clinica Veterinaria offers pick up and delivery service, as well as pet boarding.

Proyecto Animales de La Calle in Mazatlan is an animal welfare organization devoted to improving the health and welfare of Mazatlan street animals.
Founded by Jan Macdonald and Susan Reynada, Proyecto Animales de La Calle promotes TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) spaying and neutering programs that humanely address issues related to our street animal population.
Proyecto Animales de La Calle is an entirely volunteer effort, and is operated largely with privately donated money, dog food, cat food, time and love.
PAC and its founder Jan McDonald also facilitates adoption of veterinarian-examined dogs and cats.
